Purple blossoms, green grass, new leaves....snow!!! Yes, this is what we woke up to on Saturday morning. We knew it was coming, but never imagined we could build a snowman in the Springtime. The kids were in heaven. They finally got to wear their snowboots in Kansas. (1st time.) It was actually a nice last Winter hurrah. We spent the weekend in, next to the fireplace. But don't fear, it will be 66 degrees today.
There is this towing company here in Wichita that has a Mater look-alike. He is actually used as a tow truck, too. We had to get a picture with him! There is this nature preserve park called Pawnee Prarie that isn't too far from us. It is a park where you really get to see wild animals just wandering around. Lily has no fear, so she decided she was going to go get her a deer. Lily is definitely a cheeser. She is caught in the act here. The three kiddies hanging out on the bridge.
My, oh my what a wonderful day! I just got the results of my glucose test from the Doctor. I don't have gestational diabetes!!! Yeah!!! After having it with my last pregnancy, I thought for sure I would have a repeat. Not only am I okay, but I don't even have to take the 3-hour glucose test. (Which I had to take for the first three pregnancies.) I can't begin to describe how happy that makes me. Carbs, allow me to re-introduce myself.....
Somehow we've done it again. We made it through the latest (and hopefully last) layoffs at Cessna for a while. I was really sweating this round. Especially because if we had been laid off, Rob's last day would have been April 30th....8 days before I am scheduled for a C-Section. Luckily, we don't have to worry about that right now. I don't know what the future may hold, but at least we can get through the baby with insurance for now. Whew!!!Thank you to everyone who helped us with your positive thoughts and prayers.
I am lucky to have another daughter, because no amount of begging will persuade Paige to let me paint her toenails! Lily, on the other hand, loves her pink toes. Since we were going for a theme, we had to do the hair in piggies too. She looked soo cute. I love little piggies on little girls.
I just got back from a doctor's appointment with some great news. I was asking him how far along I had to be in order to have a scheduled c-section. He said at least 39 weeks, do you want to go ahead and schedule it today? DUH! Of course I do. So, May 8th is the day. That makes me exactly 39 weeks. Thanks Dr. Brown! This will make scheduling with the other kiddies soo much easier. That makes it 13 weeks from tomorrow...yikes!
